What the Cowboys would really like to do is trade up to get Kyle Pitts to add to a growing offense, but the price is just a bit too steep, so they  stay put.

Many will see this as a reach with Caleb Farley entering the draft with many question marks surrounding him, including the fact that he sat out this past season due to the pandemic, which many other players did as well.

Farley has the potential to be the best defensive back in this class and though Patrick Surtain and Jaycee Horn may be seen as safer picks, Jerry Jones opts to take a gamble here because he does have Trevon  Diggs and Jourdan Lewis on the roster already so there is some leeway to make such a pick.

Weeks ago Farley made the claim that teams will regret passing on him much in the way Randy Moss did over 20 years ago. The team that Moss wanted to play for back then was the Cowboys and they passed on him due to worries over his character concerns.

This time, Jones will see a player that is high on his board and decide to take a shot.
