Round 2 (40): Edge Jaelan Phillips, Miami

If you are looking for a defensive player with a high motor, Miami edge rusher Jaelan Phillips is a guy for you.

Phillips never gives up on a play and is always looking in the direction of the ball-carrier.

The Broncos need some depth at the edge rusher position and if they can get Phillips in the second round, they absolutely should.

I don’t know if Phillips lasts until the 40th overall pick, but if he does, it is because of one reason and one reason only.

Phillips does come with injury concerns and even stopped playing football for a couple of months due to the concerns but turned things around and is expected to go high in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Phillips is a very interesting prospect and it would be a lot of fun to see him in Vic Fangio’s defensive scheme because he can play multiple positions, including edge rusher and with his hand in the dirt.

I know that I would not be the only person who would be absolutely stoked with this selection.
