4. Steve Schindler, Guard, 1977

Some prospects just are not cut out for the professional level, even if they were great college football players. That would be Steve Schindler.

Schindler was a three-year starter at Boston College and he is a member of the Varsity Club Hall of Fame at that school. However, he is nothing more than a footnote in Broncos history.

Schindler lasted just two seasons in Denver after being selected with the No. 18 pick of the first round in the 1977 draft. No other team would look at Schindler any further either and his career ended as fast as it began.

If you have never heard of this guy, don’t be too hard on yourself. He started in just four games for the team.
