You can always use more help on the defensive line, am I right?

That’s exactly where the Broncos go in this scenario, selecting Texas defensive tackle Ta’Quon Graham.

The Broncos have some stars on the defensive line, including Shelby Harris and Mike Purcell. Graham would be put in the defensive line rotation as a defensive end.

The Broncos run a 3-4 defense, which means that you have three defensive linemen and four linebackers.

Denver lost Demarcus Walker in free agency, as he signed with the Houston Texans. So the Broncos need to add some depth on the defensive line.

Give Graham some time and he could be put into the rotation for years to come.

CB. San Diego State. 901. player. Draft Pick. Pick Analysis. DarrenHall. 237

We addressed cornerback in round 2 with Caleb Farley, but cornerback is a position where you need to have some backups.

Darren Hall out of San Diego State might be a solid developmental prospect for Vic Fangio and the Broncos. He’s a 5-foot-11, 188-pound cornerback who might be best in zone coverage.

He can play the run, as well as making a play on the football. Hall has six interceptions in his collegiate career, including three in 2020.

Hall is still a work in progress and with some time in Fangio’s defense, he surely could be a nice pick.

There is a concern regarding his availability, as he played in eight games last year, and missed all but two during his freshman season.

Von Miller’s career as a Denver Bronco is going to be up sooner than people will expect. It will be here in the blink of an eye. That’s why the Broncos need to add someone at the position.

It would not surprise me if they take an edge rusher sooner than the seventh round, but this is the scenario we are faced with here.

Herring can line up as an edge rusher but also a 4-3 defensive end with his hand in the dirt. He shows nice quickness in his pursuit and with Miller and Bradley Chubb as the team’s starters, Herring would have some quality teachers.

He is very large, at 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, which is two inches taller, but five pounds lighter than Miller. With that type of size, can you imagine what could possibly do on the edge? That would be fun to see.

253. player. 884. SMU. ShaneBuechele. QB. Draft Pick. Pick Analysis

Now, the Denver Broncos are still exploring the backup quarterback position, as they have yet to acquire one through a trade or even signing one in free agency this offseason.

If they are confident in keeping Drew Lock as the starting quarterback, they’ll still likely go down that road.

That being said, it does not hurt to have an extra guy who could be a pair of eyes for the team.

Buechele became a captain at SMU in his first year, which bodes well if he were to become a member of the Broncos. The Broncos pride themselves on captainship.

Buechele can be an accurate passer but unfortunately doesn’t have the arm strength.

I’m not quite sure how Buechele would fare in the NFL, but if the Denver Broncos do acquire a true veteran quarterback, it would be ideal for the rookie to learn anything he can from him.
