Original 77th overall pick: Cornerback Micheal Ojemudia, University of Iowa

Re-do 77th overall pick: Wide Receiver Darnell Mooney, Tulane University

With KJ Hamler no longer a Denver Bronco in this scenario, this position group would still need to add a young playmaker to fill out the room.

Darnell Mooney, a current Chicago Bear, had a fantastic rookie season. Even with the likes of Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles throwing him the football, he totaled 61 receptions for 631 yards and 4 touchdowns.

While his yards per reception certainly do not rival Jeudy, his receptions and touchdowns actually surpassed his numbers. Granted, Jeudy did help his cause with that, as he dropped several passes that certainly could have resulted in a few extra touchdowns. Obviously, I am not saying Mooney is a better receiver than Jeudy, just thinking about how the two would complement each other.

Mooney did not run the high 4.2 40-yard dash like Hamler, but he did run a high 4.3, which is plenty fast. He could come in and be what the Broncos once brought now rumored trade target, DaeSean Hamilton, in to be as the underneath security blanket as well as being the take the top off of the defense guy, replacing the necessity for KJ Hamler in this offense.

One other statistic that I found that was highly impressive, Mooney only had one drop the entire 2020 NFL season. Having a reliable set of hands is a must for any receiver in this league, as it is their primary responsibility.
