The Denver Broncos have had a heck of a start to the 2021 offseason under rookie general manager George Paton.

Paton has assembled a roster that, if the Denver Broncos had to play a game next Sunday, they could line up their 22 projected starters and toe-up with just about anyone. Heck, the 2020 version of the Denver Broncos, battered and obviously limited by COVID, took the Chiefs to the wire in Kansas City last year.

The roster hasn’t changed a whole lot offensively, but George Paton has worked to improve the defense while bringing back key players from last season.

Von Miller’s contract option was picked up. Justin Simmons signed on for four years as the highest-paid safety in league history (on an annual basis). Shelby Harris re-signed on a three-year deal.

In addition to taking care of some of the Denver Broncos’ own players, Paton was able to bring in Ronald Darby from the Washington Football Team and Kyle Fuller from the Chicago Bears as his new starting cornerbacks, and after declining his 2021 contract option, he got Kareem Jackson at a discounted rate.

The 2021 NFL Draft looms now. George Paton has the Denver Broncos’ roster in a position to compete and he’s not even finished tinkering with it yet.

In addition to the 2021 NFL Draft, there are still some intriguing free agents out there who could be of interest to the Denver Broncos. Whether they choose to bring more guys in to fill out the roster before or after the Draft, here are five guys I think the Denver Broncos should be interested in signing.
