A.J. Bouye

When it became clear that the Broncos were going to move on from long-time cornerback Chris Harris, the team traded with the Jacksonville Jaguars to get A.J. Bouye.

Bouye had been more than serviceable in his previous NFL stops and though it would take a lot to replace what Harris did for the team, Bouye was seen as an acceptable option for the cost (a fourth-round pick).

Like Casey, Bouye was just not great in orange and blue.

He played in just seven games for the team after also suffering an injury but he was then suspended for the final portion of the season after violating the league’s policy against substance abuse.

The Broncos released Bouye to save money against the salary cap this offseason and he is yet to land on his feet in a new home. Even if he is signed, he still has two games remaining on his suspension.

Bouye will turn 30 in August and he has seen his pass deflections and interceptions take a drastic dip since his huge 2017 season in Jacksonville.

Still, Bouye could be of service for a team looking for a veteran presence in the secondary.
