4 former Denver Broncos who still need a team for the 2021 season
1. AJ Bouye, CB
The Denver Broncos acquired AJ Bouye in the 2020 offseason for the very reasonable price of a fourth-round pick.
To get a possible CB1 for a fourth-round pick is a very worthwhile trade, but Bouye couldn’t shake injury issues last season and then was popped with a six-game suspension.
After serving four of those six games last season, Bouye will miss two of now 17 games in the 2021 season at the very least, and then how much can you count on him with his recent injury history?
Considering the fact that he’s guaranteed to miss the first two games of the 2021 season, any team picking up Bouye is going to have to do so as a CB4 option at the very best. He could certainly be a starter when he’s back out there by week three, but you’re not planning on him as CB1 or CB2 going into a season where he won’t play the first couple of games.
Still, I think with the price he would command at this point on a likely one-year contract, Bouye could be a decent bargain.
