5. Jamaal Williams, Packers (age: 26 in April)

The Green Bay Packers spent a second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Boston College running back AJ Dillon and then spent $48 million on Aaron Jones in 2021 free agency.

There is no longer room for young Jamaal Williams in their backfield and he is set to possibly cash in through free agency.

Williams is a talented player who, despite the logjam at running back in Green Bay, has been able to prove his worth with over four yards per carry over the past two seasons as well as 70 total receptions.

With 18 touchdowns in his first four NFL seasons out of BYU and respectable totals from scrimmage, Williams could be the ideal buy-low candidate in free agency at the age of 26. The Broncos could try to sign him to a two-year contract and see if there’s potential he could become their featured back as soon as 2022.

With some question marks beyond this year at running back anyway, a player like Williams who has been a proven threat as a pass catcher could be a nice fit given his age and upside.
