5. Kevin King, Packers (age: 26)

Every time Kevin King’s name gets brought up on my Twitter page, fans predictably jump in to talk about his down 2020 performance.

Justifiably so, in many respects.

The last time we all saw Kevin King, he was getting shredded by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who were on their way to a Super Bowl victory. King’s victimization in the postseason is not necessarily representative of a future projection for him.

As recently as 2019, King picked off five passes for the Packers and allowed just 58.8 percent of passes into his coverage to be completed.

The Broncos obviously need guys who can create turnovers and Vic Fangio’s defense has been a pretty consistent talent elevator for players. In the Fangio defense, I think Kevin King could regain his 2019 form.

Not to mention, the Broncos pried defensive backs coach Christian Parker away from the Green Bay Packers this offseason, and King would have familiarity in Denver with his position coach.

Signing King would not necessarily mean the Broncos have to start him, but they could put him in a competition with Michael Ojemudia and see what his physical skills can bring.
