Despite setting records as one of the best offensive teams in league history in 2013, the Broncos decided to add more firepower the following offseason, snagging wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

Sanders had enjoyed decent success with his first team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, but playing with Peyton Manning in Denver for a team that just went to the Super Bowl was something he wanted to be a part of.

For six seasons, he was a huge part of the Broncos’ offense, making two Pro Bowls in the process.

During his time with the team, Sanders caught 404 passes for 5,361 yards and 28 touchdowns. He ranks seventh in team history in total receptions.

His first year in Denver was the best season of his career and proved that the Broncos had made a great signing. He caught 101 passes for 1,401 yards that year while also catching nine touchdown passes.

He ranked fifth in the league in both receptions and receiving yards that year.

Sanders also became a key figure in the Denver community and was a fan favorite. He was traded to the San Francisco 49ers during the 2019 season but he left an indelible mark on the franchise.
