Trades

Marshon Lattimore, CB

Broncos send pick number 9 and pick number 40 to the New Orleans Saints for cornerback Marshon Lattimore and pick number 28 overall.

There is nothing more fun than mock trades.

No question that the Broncos need a top-flight corner opposite Bryce Callahan. Also, adding a true number 1 provides insurance if Callahan gets injured (again) or he departs after the season as his contract expires.

The Broncos pounce on the New Orleans financial cap restraints and get cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who is due a big extension ASAP. To get the corner, the Broncos send their first and second 2021 selections for Lattimore and the 28th overall pick.

Lattimore comes with a reasonable cap hit in 2021 and that number can go up or down with an extension that should follow.

2021 cap hit – $10,244,000
