2. Stephon Gilmore, Patriots

The New England Patriots are in transition it seems and Stephon Gilmore was on the trade block mid-season. If Denver is serious about trading for a corner, Gilmore and Lattimore would be the top two names I’d call. They are the cream of the crop on this list. Let us say Denver shows interest in trading for Lattimore. I’d expect Denver to call on Gilmore as well.

For the better part of nine seasons, Gilmore racked up first-team All-Pro’s and Pro Bowls. It was not until his last few seasons with Buffalo that Gilmore’s recognition took off.

Like Lattimore, every single season Gilmore has registered interceptions. The Denver Broncos have massively struggled in creating turnovers on defense. Gilmore gives a better, elite alternative at cornerback than A.J Bouye.

Denver might need to send over the 9th pick like Lattimore. Although since Gilmore is 30-years old maybe Denver can afford to send a second to third-round pick plus a day-three pick.

Gilmore also allows Denver an opportunity to still take cornerback with their 9th if a first-rounder was not involved. Maybe Denver would just luck out in this situation acquiring a plan B alternative to Lattimore.
