1. Marshon Lattimore, Saints

Two notable players are rumored to be on the trade block. One is New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore. Lattimore lately is subject to change due to the Saints showing strong interest in extending him.

The Saints have to find creative ways to massage the salary cap to not be over it and in the red. While there’s an extension on the table, it’s still worth asking the Saints about the possibility of Lattimore in a trade.

Lattimore has become one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL and is in line for a nice payday in the near future. Denver will likely have to surrender their 9th overall pick plus mid to later rounds if they want to acquire Lattimore. The projection of a cornerback class is unknown. The talent level is certainly intriguing, but you cannot bank on getting instant impact like Lattimore with their 9th pick.

The Denver Broncos would get a young, 24-year old number one cornerback. Lattimore is a turnover-creating machine that is a pure lockdown player. He is not had a heavy interception season; however, he has at least a turnover every single year. Lattimore would be bringing toughness, speed, and a corner who is one of the better tacklers.

To repeat, we have no idea what the actual package will look like or if he will even be on another team. Lately, with a possibility of an extension and how that contract could still open doors for Lattimore to stay in New Orleans for foreseeable future, you wonder if he’s available at all.
