The 2021 NFL Free Agency period is merely days away at this point and the Denver Broncos have a lot of important areas to address in year one of the George Paton era.

Although it’s certainly not mandatory, it’s always interesting to look at free agents from division rival teams to potentially steal away.

Last offseason, the Los Angeles Chargers stole cornerback Chris Harris Jr. away from the Broncos but the Broncos stole their running back Melvin Gordon as well.

What moves could the Broncos look to make in the 2021 offseason? Let’s take a look at some intriguing players from division rival teams the Broncos could try to poach.

The Kansas City Chiefs just released both of their starting offensive tackles — former top overall pick Eric Fisher and longtime right tackle Mitchell Schwartz.

Although the likelihood is that the Denver Broncos move forward with Ja’Wuan James as their starting right tackle for the 2021 season, what if the availability of Schwartz changes their minds?

Financially, it would be really tough to move on from James, but other teams have eaten much larger dead money hits already in the 2021 offseason to make changes at certain positions. The Broncos would have to know if the soon-to-be 32-year-old Schwartz still plans on playing for the foreseeable future, and if he does, it would be worth the conversation.

Von Miller, throughout his career, has routinely praised Schwartz as the best right tackle he’s gone up against since he came into the league in 2011.

Again, this move would require some pretty tough gymnastics in terms of the Broncos having to move on from James and sign Schwartz to a deal that would be fair to him, but it is worth looking into because of how good this particular player has been throughout his career.
