The Denver Broncos have some decisions to make in terms of their own free agents this offseason, including defensive lineman Shelby Harris.

Harris has been a very solid lineman for the Broncos after he was on and off the Raiders roster for several years. He found his home.

There is a chance, however, that his time with the Broncos ends soon, as he’s scheduled to hit free agency.

Harris could fit nicely with several teams. He’s a good pass rusher as well as run stuffer (when he isn’t getting double-teamed).

He has stated that he would like to return to the Broncos, and that’s still possible. It depends what his market is, but other things are going to be taken into account.

Let’s start off with the most obvious fit for Harris:

Denver Broncos

In an ideal situation, the Broncos are able to come to an agreement with Harris on a long-term contract.

That was not the case this past offseason when they signed him to just a 1-year deal.

Harris has been a solid pass-rushing interior lineman for the Broncos defense after having difficulties staying on his feet when he first entered the league with the Oakland Raiders.

The Broncos can’t afford to lose Harris, as they have several other defensive linemen scheduled to hit free agency, including DeMarcus Walker and Sylvester Williams.

Harris has elevated his game in Vic Fangio’s defense, with his hand usage and high motor.

In terms of Broncos free agents, you have Justin Simmons in tier 1, and Shelby Harris in tier 2. You could make an argument to put Harris in tier 1.
