Ty Law, Cornerback

Definitely one of the better cornerbacks of his time, Ty Law made his name as a shutdown guy for the New England Patriots, helping the team win multiple Super Bowls.

Law spent 10 seasons in New England before signing with the New York Jets in 2005. He came to the Broncos in 2009 as Josh McDaniels wanted to add a familiar face from his time in New England.

Unfortunately, Law was just a shell of his former self and ended up playing in just seven games for the Broncos. He began the 2009 season as a free agent and looking at retirement, but McDaniels was able to talk him out of that.

He did have one interception in that time, returning it 37 yards. His career ended after that season, which was his 15th in the league, at 35 years old.

It definitely looked good on paper for the Broncos to have both Champ Bailey and Law in the same secondary. However, things just didn’t work out as Law was largely ineffective.

Though his playing career ended following that season, Law was inducted into the Hall of Fame 10 years later and is considered one of the best cornerbacks of his era.
