2. Heavy investment at cornerback

Caleb Farley or Patrick Surtain, come on down…

Or, Jaycee Horn maybe?

To me, you can’t really go wrong with any of those three options at the cornerback position—especially on a team that desperately needs help at that spot on the defense.

A.J. Bouye is gone. Bryce Callahan, you cannot rely on to stay healthy.

Sure, we saw some good things from Michael Ojemudia during his rookie season in 2020, but this just isn’t enough. Sure, we saw several cornerbacks go down with an injury during the season and they will be back (assuming that’s the direction the team goes).

Drafting a cornerback, and possibly even two, is what everybody expects George Paton and Vic Fangio to do, and that will most likely start with their first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

It would not be at all surprising to see them address the cornerback spot in free agency either.
