Though the 2021 NFL draft is still two months away, it’s one of the more fun things to talk about as it relates to the NFL.

Have you checked out any mock drafts? If you have skimmed through one or 100, odds are you’re likely to see hundreds more. We will have many of our own here, including the latest from Sayre Bedinger.

Of all of the mocks you have delved into, which draft prospect have you seen sent to the Denver Broncos the most? If your answer is Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley, you would be right, according to NFL Mock Draft Database.

Farley is a highly intriguing prospect, and he fills an immediate need at cornerback. He has prototypical size and 6-foot-2 and just over 200 pounds. He did sit out the 2020 season and questions about his level of experience will be there, but the raw talent and athletic ability is apparent.

Broncos fans should love this pick if it comes to fruition.

Will that happen? So much can take place between now and the end of April that it’s anyone’s guess. After all, mock drafts are just a guessing game, but a fun guessing game.

For some context, here are the players that were most mocked to the Broncos in each draft dating back to 2017.

2020: Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama (chosen by the Las Vegas Raiders)

2019: Noah Fant, TE, Iowa (chosen by the Broncos after trading down in first round)

2018: Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma (chosen by the Cleveland Browns No.1 overall)

2017: Ryan Ramcyzk, OT, Wisconsin (chosen by New Orleans Saints but was still on the board when Denver selected Garett Bolles)

In four years, only one of those players was selected by the Broncos and that came after the team made a trade down. At that rate, the Broncos will select someone other than Farley, but the fact that he has been mocked to Denver so often makes perfect sense.

He is a first-round talent who is either the No.1 or No.2 cornerback on most analysts’ boards and he fills a need at what is currently the team’s biggest weakness.
