The 2020 season was not ideal for the Denver Broncos. It had some moments of being negative and some flashes of being positive.

Now we enter an off-season with some questions surrounding the quarterback position. There has been a lot of hate on social media on Drew Lock and how he performed this season, and now with the QB market potentially having Deshaun Watson in it, fans are begging George Paton to do anything possible just to get him. Many fans (including myself) would love Watson to come to Denver.

But let’s just pump the brakes a little bit on this.

Drew Lock statistically did not play well, but this does not mean he did not have any flashes of his potential throughout the season that were great.

The list may be controversial, but it is so good that touchdowns like the game-winner against the Chargers when Lock hit Hamler as time expired aren’t on here. Also, as honorable mentions, is the goal line fade Tim Patrick caught versus the Chiefs from Lock, Jerry Jeudy’s unbelievable catch at New York against the Jets, and even the very first touchdown pass of the season when Lock was rolling right and delivered a strike to Noah Fant against the Titans on Monday Night Football.

The offense in the first three quarters of this game against the Falcons could not get anything going. They were held to two field goals until the fourth quarter. During the drive at the beginning of the fourth, they converted back-to-back third downs. Lock and the Broncos found themselves again in a 3rd & 5 in the red zone.

What is so special about this play is the duo between Lock and Jeudy.

The hype for the two being so dominant at the beginning of the season was remarkable and we as fans expected a lot.

They gradually had to gain chemistry with one another and this is a perfect touchdown to represent that. Jeudy raises his hand up as he was going on a “Go route” and then plants his foot to come back to the ball.

The connection was a beautiful thing to watch and this play can resemble what we can see from both of these players in the near future.
