Justin Simmons is a free agent, and the Broncos would be wise to re-sign (not resign, big difference there) him.

Ok, now that we got that out of the way, let’s look at the four teams who would be the best fit for Justin Simmons as he approaches free agency in 2021.

1. Denver Broncos

Duh, right?

Simmons is the anchor of the secondary and has proven to be the best safety in the game.  In my opinion, he does not have a particular weakness in his game. Simmons has a chance to eventually be a Ring of Famer in Denver and deserves every penny.

It would be wise for George Paton and the Broncos front office to pay the man, and to do it quickly.

2. The team in Denver, Colorado

The professional football team from Denver, Colorado is a perfect landing spot for Simmons.

They have some questions about their secondary, and Simmons would put many of those questions at ease.  He would be vital in helping mentor any new secondary piece we draft or otherwise acquire.

3. The NFL team that won Super Bowl 50

The team that won Super Bowl 50 would instantly become better if they signed Justin Simmons.

With Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert in the AFC West, defense becomes a top priority to stop these young signal-callers.

The Super Bowl 50 winners should look to Simmons to provide a steady presence in the secondary for years to come.

4. The team that plays at Empower Field at Mile High

Ever since the gradual departure of the No Fly Zone, the inhabitants of Empower Field have been searching for the next enforcer in the secondary, and Justin Simmons provides that.

He is a long and rangy safety who can cover a lot of ground and has a knack for the ball. He has proven to be a clutch player and can tackle like a linebacker. Simply put, Simmons belongs at Empower Field.

Justin Simmons needs to stay in Denver, and there is no other way around it. He is the best player on that defense and is as reliable as they come.

We in Broncos Country understand how important Simmons is to this defense. His on-field product is excellent and his involvement off the field is stellar.

Please, George Paton, get the deal done.
