Denver Broncos: 2021 NFL Draft sleeper targets at quarterback
One of the most productive quarterbacks in SEC history, Kellen Mond has one quality that a lot of NFL teams will find attractive — experience.
Mond has been starting at quarterback for the Aggies since 2017 and has made some tremendous strides over the past four years.
Although Mond has proven himself to be erratic with accuracy and decision-making at times, there is no questioning his athleticism, arm talent, and playmaking ability.
One of the things you notice immediately when watching Mond play is how fearless he is, to a fault at times. There is a bit of recklessness in the way that he plays the position, but there are times when he makes some incredible maneuvers to avoid pressure in the pocket and then drops absolute dimes down the field.
Issues with consistency will push Mond out of the first and second-round discussion. He might not even be a top 100 selection.
With that said, by the time day three of the 2021 NFL Draft rolls around, Mond is an intriguing player to develop. His experience and overall skill set make him a fun developmental quarterback.
