Gareon Conley, another player once chosen by the Raiders in the first round, has probably been an even bigger bust than Hayden to this point in his career. He is coming off missing the entire 2020 season.

During his four-year career, Conley has played in just 31 career games. Though he came out of college as a top prospect out of Ohio State, he’s yet to ever show that potential at the professional level.

The Broncos need a lot of help at the cornerback spot, but there’s no need to take a risk on this guy unless they happen to land a huge name in free agency and feel they can get another top guy in the draft. Then, and only if Conley would come at a reasonable rate, would there be any reason to kick the tires on him.

Conley is still just 26 years old and could have a ton of football left in him, but for a team with many holes on the roster, it just wouldn’t make sense to spend money on such an unproven commodity such as this one.
