Denver Broncos: Possible trade targets in the 2021 offseason
Saints trade target: Marshon Lattimore, CB
Marshon Lattimore burst onto the scene as a premier cornerback in 2017. Lattimore is a 3-time Pro-Bowler who is entering the final season of his rookie contract. This makes him one of the Broncos’ prime trade targets.
The New Orleans Saints are in dire need of cap space, and can not afford to extend Lattimore and could look to deal the young playmaker this offseason. Like Gilmore, Lattimore would give the Broncos an elite corner to match up with Bryce Callahan, and form one of the NFL’s best duos.
Saints trade target: Marcus Davenport, DE
Now, the Broncos could look to move on from Von Miller and or Shelby Harris this offseason. Considering the state of the Saints’ salary cap, they may not be able to hold on to their 2018 1st-round draft pick, Marcus Davenport.
Devenport would fit well as a player who can line up all across the defensive front. At the young age of 24-year-old Davenport could be a long-term fixture who fits in the Fangio mold of big edge players capable of defending the run while also getting to the quarterback.
Saints trade target: Malcolm Brown, DL
Similar to Lattimore and Davenport, Malcolm Brown is also a player who the Saints just can’t afford. With one more season remaining on his contract, the Broncos could give the 27-year-old Brown a home to replace Harris, or provide more depth on the interior defensive line.
Brown, a former 1st-round pick would not cost as much as Lattimore or Davenport but could provide impact for a team that will look to create more pressure upfront using minimal rushers in 2021.
