Deshaun Watson is still dominating talks in the NFL, even days before the Super Bowl.

Whether or not Watson is traded from the Houston Texans remains to be seen. That seems to be the quarterback’s desire, but new general manager Nick Caserio has stated that he has no interest in making that deal.

The Texans will have to weigh the idea of having an unhappy Watson, likely threatening a holdout, in their locker room against the idea of what they may be able to acquire in exchange for the quarterback.

Many teams will likely throw the Texans some serious offers and if the Detroit Lions can get what they got for Matthew Stafford, the price could be quite high.

I have already discussed why I don’t agree with giving up that much to get Watson, but the idea of bringing him aboard seems to be a popular one within the team’s fanbase.

It could become a reality too, especially if Kareem Jackson, Watson’s former teammate in Houston, is correct in his statement that Watson has an interest in Denver,

Suddenly, the Broncos are the team that seems to be most linked to Watson. Though that can be mostly attributed to Jackson and Jerry Jeudy, who said this, it has created a buzz and general manager George Paton could start engaging in trade talks if he hadn’t started that process already.

In the end, the Texans will likely trade Watson because the offer they get is going to be among the richest in NFL history. That will ultimately look better than having a disgruntled player on the roster who has already made his unhappiness public.

Whether or not the price to obtain Watson would be worth it would take some time to sift through, but the move, if it happened, would instantly breathe new life into Broncos Country and set the media frenzy that followed the news ablaze.
