The idea of Cameron Heyward being a part of the front seven is intriguing. Jurrell Casey is unlikely to return to Denver after suffering a season-ending torn biceps in the second game of the season and knowing how the Broncos view Dre’mont Jones after he produced a 41-tackle, 6.5-sack campaign in his first season as a starter, George Paton could bring in Heyward and re-sign Shelby Harris to get to the quarterback and stop the run.

Heyward is also another case of consistency, with only his 2016 season cut short by multiple injuries.

That should be a considerable factor, considering how injury-plagued Denver was and even with bringing in Sylvester Williams, neither he, McTelvin Agim, DeMarcus Walker or DeShawn Williams really made any sort of impact.

The Broncos were ranked near the bottom of the league in defense and could receive a jolt. That would be effectively solved with an addition like Heyward.
