Denver Broncos Senior Bowl targets: The Rest

Carlos Basham Jr., EDGE, Wake Forest

The 6-foot-5, 275 pound Deamon Decon has had a murky college career. Basham Jr. was a lowly rated recruit with minimal interest from Power Five programs.

Carlos Basham Jr. has both tools and production. A bigger athlete, he produced 64 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 11.0 tackles for loss in his first season starting. Basham Jr. could be a good draft and develop prospect the Broncos grab in the later rounds.

Broncos fans should watch Basham Jr. and how he matches up against some really quality tackles on the American Roster during Senior Bowl practices. His ability to bend will determine his draftable grade in this upcoming draft.

Monty Rice, LB, Georgia

Monty Rice is a solid, but not intimidating athlete. The 6-foot-1, 235-pound senior linebacker shows good athleticism and fluidity. At inside linebacker, Rice has shown great explosion and is a good pass-rusher. His ability to close is something the Broncos need.

Additionally, Rice is good in man coverage underneath while showing adequate quickness to stay with RBs and TEs.

He does lack length and can get gobbled up by blockers. It will be important for Rice to show how he beats blockers in one-on-one matchups against the offensive lineman on the American Roster.
