Denver Broncos Senior Bowl prospect: Ifeatu Melifonwu, DB, Syracuse

Ifeatu Melifonwu is a big playmaker coming in at 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds at the cornerback position. His brother Obi was already drafted into the NFL as Ifeatu entered the college ranks.

Melifonwu has grown significantly since he arrived as a three-star recruit in the 2017 class.
Melifonwu redshirted his first season with the Orange and played sparingly in 2018.

In 2019 and 2020, Melifonwu showed improved fluidity and ball skills as he caused havoc throughout the ACC play.

His length and ability to challenge at the catch-point should really catch the eye of Broncos scouts.

Broncos fans should watch one-on-one matchups against the receivers on the American Roster throughout the week to see if Melifonwu’s fluidity is enough that he can grow into a future starter at the NFL level.
