The importance of the  Senior Bowl cannot be overstated, especially for a first-time general manager like George Paton and his staff with the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos are not able to bring players into their building, adding emphasis to pro days and All-Star games like the Senior Bowl.

College Football Bowl season saw several players boost their draft stock, and now the focus shifts to the All-Star game cycle..

In this article, I dive into the American Roster for the 2021 Senior Bowl but make sure to check out my article highlighting Denver Broncos fits on the National Roster.

Denver Broncos Senior Bowl prospect: Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama

Alex Leatherwood is a three-year starter for the most dominant school in college football. Leatherwood held off other high-level recruits to not only hold on the job but excelled.

Leatherwood brings an impressive frame at 6-foot-6 and 311 pounds with the adequate length to compete at left tackle in the NFL. Leatherwood is aggressive yet agile, which would be a wonderful addition to the Denver Broncos’ right tackle concerns for the future.

Fans should watch for Leatherwood’s awareness as a blocker as he shows a solid knack to combo block and moves to the second level. Additionally, he shows good technique and matches up well one-on-one in pass rush drills.

Additionally, Leatherwood must improve his balance and hold his ground against some of the stronger pass rushers. Leatherwood would provide 2021 insurance for Ju’Waun James and a long-term piece for an up and coming offensive line.
