The Broncos could certainly add a free agent to this mix, but they’ll go forth with what they have in house while allowing De’Vante Bausby and Kevin Toliver to walk.

Essang Bassey had a solid rookie campaign and should return to an involved role with the team so long as he recovers from the injury that ended his 2020 season. Nate Hairston and Parnell Motley earn another season with the team, at least as candidates to be on the practice squad. But both, particularly Motley, showed promise when pressed into action during the season.

Both Dawson and Holder can also rotate to the safety spot if needed so their versatility should keep them around providing this is the list of names at cornerback  when the season begins. Dawson will have a torn ACL to rehab during the offseason so he will need to prove that he is back from that.

Should the Broncos consider signing a veteran corner on the free-agent market, names to consider would be Brian Poole or Mackensie Alexander. Both of those players would be looking for a decent contract and would be much more expensive than the players listed above.
