Isaiah Simmons was a Swiss Army knife defensive player who can play basically any position for the front seven. Simmons is not who we are talking about. However, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is one of those rover players who can play both linebacker and box safety in certain situations.

Owusu-Koramoah is another player (like Parsons) who brings exceptional versatility to the defensive side of the ball. Owusu-Koramoah took a huge step forward with his coverage skills and creating opportunities.

Instincts are off the charts for Owusu-Koramoah. Like Parsons, he prides himself on being one step ahead of everyone else. Parsons and Owusu-Koramoah are athletic freaks that when you mix the instincts with their ability to be fleet of foot it makes them special prospects. If Denver loses Will Parks again to Free Agency, Owusu-Koramoah’s effort as box safety could bring benefits to a defense.

Also if Parks stays you’re looking at two of them. This is a good problem to have for a defense. More tools at your disposal makes the defense borderline elite.

Denver lacks in defenders at linebacker who can stay with running backs and tight ends. Owusu-Koramoah does not solve covering them himself, but it makes the problem easier with a player like him with others on that defense.

Even Justin Strnad in the mix would add options to bring forth an all-around defense. Owusu-Koramoah is a tremendous under-the-radar candidate for a ninth pick if he blows up at the combine.
