Safety
- Justin Simmons
- Kareem Jackson
- Will Parks
- Richie Grant
The Broncos are able to bring back Justin Simmons on a long-term contract, but not without sacrificing starters A.J. Bouye and Tim Patrick. Ultimately, the Broncos do what is necessary to bring one of their core players back to the Mile High City.
Kareem Jackson is on the wrong side of 30 years old, but the Broncos elect to keep Jackson for one more year, as well as retain Will Parks to take some of the load off of Jackson. Simmons, Jackson, and Parks all figure to see significant snaps for the Broncos’ defense.
While Kareem Jackson is retained by the Broncos, his eventual replacement is also secured through the draft. The Broncos grab Richie Grant in the 4th round to develop behind Simmons and Jackson, and will eventually see time in the Broncos’ defense alongside Justin Simmons and Will Parks.
Special Teams
- Kicker: Brandon McManus
- Punter: Sam Martin
- Long Snapper: Jacob Bobenmoyer
Denver Broncos: 4 most critical decisions facing new GM
The Denver Broncos will have a new general manager in 2021. That new GM is going to have to make some critical decisions right away.
The Broncos’ special teams unit remains the same for another year, with McManus on the books until 2024 and Sam Martin until 2022, per Overthecap. Jacob Bobenmoyer resumes his duties as the team’s long snapper after a solid 2020 season.
