Denver Broncos 2021 NFL Draft option: Trade Down
With a new General Manager in Denver, we can’t accurately predict what the Denver Broncos will do with the 9th overall pick. While there are excellent options to consider, the smart play may be to trade down and acquire more assets for a team on the rise.
The Denver Broncos recently traded down during the 2019 Draft and came away with a solid haul of players. Noah Fant, Drew Lock, and Lloyd Cushenberry III are all key players to the Broncos’ future plans and were well worth the trade out of the 10th overall selection that year.
While it’s not the flashiest decision, it may end up being the best move. If the new General Manager doesn’t love any of the options he has at the 9th overall pick, a trade down could be in play.
Trading down into the late teens or early ’20s could net the Broncos a solid player or two. Some notable names to consider are Jaycee Horn, Nick Bolton, or Jay Tufele.
