With the season completed, the Broncos now know who they will play during the 2021 NFL season.

The season ended in disappointment for the Denver Broncos this year. Seeing them finish with double digit losses is never fun. Is there a chance this team could look better next season? There is always that possibility. It will come down to how they approach this offseason.

How can they approach this offseason successfully? By taking a look at the teams they will face and plan around their strengths and weaknesses. And they can begin that Monday.

With the season completed, the Broncos do not know when they will play their 2021 opponents, but they know who they will be. And as a friendly reminder, the Broncos could be playing 17 times in 2021 because of a new scheduling format.

They will get their normal six games against their divisional opponents (Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders) plus they will play against every team from the AFC North (Steelers, Ravens, Browns, and Bengals) and NFC East (Giants, Eagles, Cowboys, and Washington Football Team).

Their final two games are determined by where the Broncos finish in their division. Since the team finished last in the AFC West, they will play the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC South and the New York Jets in the AFC East.

There is a report that the Broncos’ 17th game will be against a team from the NFC North that finished last in their division. If it becomes official, the Broncos will face the Detroit Lions in 2021.

Looking at the opponents, it seems that Denver will get a fairly easier schedule than they had in the past. They will play five teams that are going to the postseason this year.

Now that the team knows who they will be playing, the preparations can begin. Hopefully the team can improve. They should with Courtland Sutton and Von Miller returning. Find and fix the holes everywhere else and Denver should be in contention next season.

Keep an eye out later on in the spring when the official schedule is released.
