Denver Broncos week 17 power rankings roundup.

Well, Denver Broncos fans, we’ve hit the final week of the 2020 season. What a year it has been. It is now time for the final power rankings roundup of the season.

A little recap. The Broncos have stayed consistently in the early to mid-’20s in terms of power rankings throughout the year. Unfortunately, they just hadn’t been able to prove the doubters wrong in certain ways.

A lot of what I found regarding the bad rankings by media outlets was due to the quarterback play by Drew Lock and the other quarterbacks who had to step in for a couple of games. We’ve seen some sparks here and there by Lock. We want to see more consistency.

It’s troubling seeing a solid game (4 touchdowns, 0 interceptions vs Panthers) be followed up by a game such as the one the following week against the Bills, and even the next week against the Chargers. In those two games, Lock threw one touchdown to two interceptions.

Consistency.

In the final week of the 2020 season, we’ll see how high the Broncos can be. With playoff hopes gone and experience the only thing to play for, the Broncos will be glad to get through week 17 and look toward 2021.
