Shelby Harris

Shelby Harris tried to get out of Denver following the 2019 season, but couldn’t find the big pay day he was looking for. He came back to Denver on a one-year deal looking to prove himself.

He has proven himself.

Harris has been one of the best players on defense for the Broncos and he is arguably even more deserving of that big contract now than he was at this time last year.

During his four seasons in Denver, Harris has become one of the more underrated defensive linemen in football. He has 15.5 sacks during that time and has become one of the game’s best at batting balls down at the line of scrimmage.

Harris will turn 30 years old in August and is realistically looking for one more good deal before his career ends. The Broncos should work extremely hard to sign him to a multi-year deal that pays him the kind of money he has proven he is worth.

A year ago, I would have been of the mindset to let him go play somewhere else. But to come back on a one-year deal and play at the level he has, he deserves the money and would likely love to finish his career in the Mile High City.
