Jerry Jeudy to catch every ball thrown his way

If there is a player on the Broncos that needs to end his season on a high note, it’s Jeudy. After a disastrous performance against the Los Angeles Chargers in which he dropped five passes and was the primary reason the team lost, Jeudy needs to step up and play big.

After making so much noise about his involvement in the offense, Jeudy dropped the ball, both literally and figuratively, when given the chance. He was targeted 15 times on Sunday and caught just six of those passes.

But Jeudy hasn’t been ignored this season  either. In fact, he is easily the team’s leader in targets in the passing game with 106 (second most is just 87). Of those, he has come down with just 47 receptions, or 44.3 percent of the passes that have been thrown to him. That’s not a great number.

Against the Raiders, Jeudy needs to enot only atone for his poor game against the Chargers, but his relatively quiet rookie season. If he is going to live up to his first-round potential, seasons like this won’t cut it.

It would be nice to see Jeudy catch seven or eight passes in this game, go over 100 yards receiving and find the end zone. But at the very least, just don’t drop the ball.
