Broncos Nearly Upset Chiefs

In Week 13, the Denver Broncos showed a fight that fans had not seen all season in their narrow loss to their division rival and reigning Super Bowl champ Kansas City Chiefs 22-16, a much closer margin than anyone had ever expected.

What was even better (or more painful, depending on how you look at it) was that the game was in reach until the final seconds. For a team that has been severely beaten down by injuries and COVID-19, this was a huge moral victory for the team.

Although this team has a lot of areas for improvement, starting with quarterback Drew Lock, this game proved that this franchise is headed in the right direction, and is arguably better than its record shows.

Panthers Likely Without McCaffrey Once Again

In what is a tough break for Carolina, the Panthers are expected to be without their star running back Christian McCaffrey again, who is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game.

McCaffrey has missed the majority of the season with a shoulder injury, but a new thigh injury surfaced on this week’s injury report, and it will be surprising if McCaffrey does end up suiting up on Sunday.

Nobody ever likes to see an injured player, but it is beneficial for Denver’s defensive line to not have to battle against the young star. If McCaffrey does not play, this will be his tenth missed game of the season.

This team has struggled this season, and certainly, McCaffrey is likely good for at least another win or two, had he not been injured.
