Kevin Toliver

Kevin Toliver was brought over early in the 2020 season from Chicago and the Broncos have essentially just been sitting on him all season.

He had three tackles in a relief appearance against the Atlanta Falcons replacing Davontae Harris at cornerback, but that was all we have seen from Toliver this season.

Unless De’Vante Bausby or Michael Ojemudia catch absolute fire from the outside cornerback position, it might not be a bad idea to get some reps for Toliver. In fact, who knows if we will see Toliver over Bausby? Toliver was the first player Vic Fangio mentioned in a press conference when asked who would fill in with the recent absences in the secondary.

Alijah Holder

The 2019 undrafted free agent out of Stanford has established himself as a key special teams player with the Denver Broncos in year two (at least over the last four games he has) and he’s been getting some run with the defense as well.

Holder has played 22 snaps over the last three games for Denver’s defense and unfortunately, his most memorable play was getting a textbook stiff-arm from Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The Broncos promoted Holder to the 53-man roster again this season and we’ll see what kind of run he gets with the defense over the final four games. For now, he could be one of the team’s top backup options at safety.
