Denver Broncos power rankings roundup for week 14.

The Denver Broncos hung tough with the Kansas City Chiefs in week 13. Unfortunately, they fell short of the victory, but there were plenty of things to be proud of.

For one, most people expected the Broncos to get blown out by their division rival and defending Super Bowl champions. That did not happen, as the final score proved: 22-16.

Drew Lock threw two interceptions on the first and last drives of the game. It appears he still has a lot of growing to do.

Running back Melvin Gordon had a very good day, rushing for 131 yards on 15 carries. He was the clear hot-hand that day.

On the pass-catching end, tight end Noah Fant caught four passes for 57 yards but it was wide receiver Tim Patrick who scored the team’s two air touchdowns.

On the defensive side, safety Kareem Jackson and rookie cornerback Michael Ojemudia led the team in tackles, with eight and six respectively. Safety Justin Simmons was not far behind, with five.

For the Chiefs, tight end Travis Kelce was a huge part of their passing game, catching eight passes for 136 yards and a touchdown.

Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was active but didn’t play a snap due to the flu. Le’Veon Bell rushed 11 times for 40 yards, which led the team.

Now, the Broncos head to Carolina, where they will face the Panthers on Sunday in an early-game matchup.

Carolina’s star running back Christian McCaffrey could be limited in regards to his snaps.

With that being said, Panthers coach Matt Rhule said on Thursday that he doesn’t expect McCaffrey to play. If that ends up being the case, it would be a huge advantage for the Broncos, but they can’t sleep on that. The Panthers have plenty of other weapons they can utilize.

Denver will also have to face defenders such as Brian Burns, Jeremy Chinn, and Donte Jackson. It could prove to be a long day for the team’s offense.

Unfortunately, the Broncos’ secondary will be missing some key pieces, as Bryce Callahan and A.J. Bouye will be out. Callahan went on injured reserve while Bouye will be starting his six-game suspension.

With all that being said, here are the week 14 power rankings brought to you by several media outlets.
