Week 17 vs. Las Vegas

The Broncos were thoroughly embarrassed in the first meeting between these two teams earlier this season as the Raiders smoked them 37-12. That was perhaps the low point of the 2020 season for Denver.

Hopefully Vic Fangio hasn’t forgotten the way that loss felt. Hopefully his team hasn’t forgotten the way that loss felt, especially when former Bronco Devontae Booker ran in two touchdowns.

The Broncos need to leave whatever they have left at this point on the field. Whether or not Fangio is going to be retained, the team has to play for pride in this one and send a message to their long-time rivals that they’re not just going to roll over after a 25-point shellacking.

But the caveat in this one could be the chance for the Broncos to play spoiler. Based on the predictions I have made above, the Raiders would sit in the No. 7 and final playoff spot in the AFC. The Broncos could gain a ton of motivation by realizing that they could knock the silver and black  out of the postseason.

And just like the 2019 season ended, this one will be the same. The Raiders will be driving for the game-winning touchdown but it will be Shelby Harris who bats a Derek Carr pass into the air and it will then fall into the waiting arms of Alexander Johnson to seal the victory.

Prediction: Broncos 26, Raiders 21

Broncos final record: 5-11
