Week 16 at Los Angeles Chargers

Earlier this season, these two teams played one of the most exciting games of 2020 as Drew Lock authored an  amazing comeback to defeat the Chargers. That’s why Broncos fans are going to hate this pick.

It’s a tough game to call because neither team will have anything to play for at this juncture of the season. But the Chargers are the “home” team and they may be willing to go all out in an effort to save Anthony Lynn’s job, though there may be no saving that.

Still, the Chargers are not as bad as their current record would suggest, they just have to figure out how to seal the deal. But they have been right in games with both the Chiefs and New Orleans Saints this year and arguably should have won both games.

Then you have Justin Herbert, the Chargers’ quarterback who could be looking to put one final stamp on the Rookie of the Year Award.

If the above predictions are accurate, the Broncos would be entering this game on a four-game losing streak and there doesn’t seem to be much that would stop the freefall into the season finale.

Which one of these teams with bad records wants it more? Which one wants to get out of the AFC West cellar? Those will be the only real important questions in this game as the two teams just play out the remainder of the season.

The Chargers win it in the end on a last-second field goal.

Prediction: Chargers 23, Broncos 20

Broncos record: 4-11
