Defensive Lineman Dre’Mont Jones

With the season-ending injuries to Jurrell Casey, Mike Purcell, Dre’Mont Jones has definitely had his name out there on the Broncos’ defensive line.

Jones has been on the field for 276 defensive snaps this year, including three games with 50 or more snaps.

Jones has three sacks on the year, as well as 30 tackles, seven quarterback hits, and has defended one pass.

There is no doubt that Fangio’s defensive scheme has helped many players, and Jones is one of them. Hopefully, we get to see more and more of Jones throughout the remainder of the 2020 season. With Fangio’s defensive plans, it’s not a huge surprise to see his snap counts change so much, but in each of the last three games, he has seen more than seventy percent of the team’s snaps.

Hopefully, Shelby Harris will teach Jones a thing or two about batting passes down.
