A.J. Bouye, CB

Like Melvin Gordon, A.J. Bouye is another player who has faced criticism for his performances thus far in his debut for the Denver Broncos, and with Bryce Callahan missing, the target on his back gets even bigger.

Although the secondary as a unit struggled to contain Patrick Mahomes and his mighty band of weapons, Bouye had an impressive outing.

Finishing the game with four tackles and two huge passes defended, Bouye played well, especially considering the massive blows the secondary has taken. With Bryce Callahan already out, and the Broncos losing Essang Bassey in the contest, Bouye’s job got much harder, and the secondary was given an impossible task to complete when not at full health.

Although Bouye has not played up to the expectations of some, it is fair to say that he has been a good addition for the Denver Broncos, and is a good fit for Vic Fangio’s defensive scheme.
