Shelby Harris, DL

The Denver Broncos missed Shelby Harris extensively while he was absent, battling COVID-19.

However, Sunday was the perfect time for Harris to rejoin the team, and his impact was felt immediately. Harris patted down two of Patrick Mahomes’ passes on Sunday night, and his presence makes it perfectly clear why the Broncos’ defensive line currently leads the league in passes batted down at the line of scrimmage.

Shelby Harris is a player who improves each week and puts pressure on John Elway with each passing week to make sure he remains a Denver Bronco.

Harris also pulled off a feat that even the quickest secondary players often fail to do — catch up with and bring down Tyreek Hill. Harris’ speedy jaunt to bring down Hill nearly broke the Internet, and was quite the hot topic on social media, and for good reason–it was arguably the most impressive feat by the Broncos on the night.

With rookie cornerback Essang Bassey likely done for the year with a knee injury, perhaps Shelby Harris can also provide his services in the secondary.
