The Denver Broncos have now lost 11 straight games against the Kansas City Chiefs.

It’s frustrating to read that, but the Broncos had their chances in this one. The Chiefs are now 11-1 and may be the NFL’s best team and the Broncos hung right there with them, having the ball at the end of the game with a chance to score a go-ahead touchdown.

During a season in which things have been the way they have been for the Broncos, they could not have asked for much more in a trip to Arrowhead Stadium. In fact, only three quarterbacks in Denver history have won at  Arrowhead in December and Drew Lock came close to becoming the fourth.

With the loss, the Broncos fall to 4-8 on the season and will just be playing out the schedule to see what positives they can take into next season at this point. Some of those positives can be drawn from this game.

The  next time the Broncos match up with these Chiefs, they will have some good film to go back and watch. A change here and a little quirk there and this one may have gone differently.

The Broncos were nearly two-touchdown underdogs coming into this game and they held the Chiefs in check for the most part and gave themselves a chance to  win. Here’s what the team  can take from the loss.
