Emmanuel Ogbah

Defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah is enjoying a breakout season with his new team. In the nine games that Ogbah has played for the Dolphins in 2020, their season opener against the New England Patriots is the only game in the season that Ogbah has not been credited with at least half a sack.

Ogbah has eight sacks on the season, good for fourth in the NFL. Ogbah is also tied for third with three forced fumbles. At 27 years old, Ogbah’s career has resurged under Miami coach Brian Flores. Any team would be nervous about having to face Ogbah, but Denver especially needs to be worried about Ogbah.

Ogbah typically lines up across from the right tackle, which has arguably been Denver’s most inconsistent roster spot of the season. Following Ja’Wuan James’ decision to opt out of the 2020 NFL season, the right tackle position has faced a revolving door of roster rotation.

Demar Dotson is expected to start at right tackle Sunday, but the Broncos’ Saturday announcement that Elijah Wilkinson has been activated off of IR could be a huge boost for the Broncos’ offensive line Sunday.

Whether it’s Dotson, Wilkinson, or both taking snaps on Sunday, Ogbah requires extra preparation, and hopefully the right tackle can keep him anchored. Otherwise, Drew Lock could be in for a rough day.
