Even though some of the circumstances were out of his control completely, Vic Fangio’s defense entered the game against the Miami Dolphins having allowed over 30 points in four straight.

With the entire starting defensive line out, Fangio’s defense turned in one of its best and most dominating performances of the season.

The Broncos’ defense notched six sacks, kept the Dolphins to 7-of-16 on third down plays, and allowed just 13 points, seven of which came when an interception was wiped off the board by a bogus defensive holding call on AJ Bouye.

The Dolphins also finished this game with just 56 rushing yards as a team. The Denver defense executed to perfection and kept Fangio’s long-standing history of strong play versus rookie quarterbacks in-tact.

After two bad losses on the road, Fangio had the home team defense ready to play in this one. Their confidence was high throughout, and they both started and finished the game strong.
