The Broncos are bound to have important questions at QB
Remember during this offseason when the team had no questions to answer at the quarterback position? That was fun, right?
Lock was supposed to be “the guy” going into the future but coming off of a four-interception outing against the Raiders, major doubts are starting to be raised. Is Lock really just another guy that will join a list that includes the likes of Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Case Keenum and Joe Flacco?
Most fans will hope that is not the case, but we have certainly seen more bad than good from Lock this season. For the year, he has completed just 55 percent of his throws while throwing just seven touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions.
Supporters of Lock are going to point to things like the partial offseason and lack of a preseason as a result of the ongoing pandemic. But that excuse will only take you so far as every other player in the league had to deal with the same circumstances.
It’s hard for a team to continue to turn over the quarterback position this often. That’s the main reason why teams such as the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins have gone so long without having much success.
The Broncos are a team with a rich tradition at quarterback, but if they have a high pick in the draft, there is almost no doubt that they will be linked to a quarterback. Perhaps one of the guys on this list.
