Denver Broncos Stock Down

As weekly readers know, we typically start things off with the Stock Up. This week, with Broncos Country feeling so gloomy about the current state and future of the franchise, we are switching things up a bit, and going to the good news last.

Tom McMahon, Special Teams Coordinator

Leading off this week’s stock down segment is special teams coordinator Tom McMahon.

McMahon was already in pretty hot water after last week’s loss to Atlanta following his controversial comments about kicker Brandon McManus, but after this week, fans are ready for McMahon to simply pack his bags after another poor outing by the special teams unit.

It feels as if years have passed since the Denver Broncos had consistency in their special teams unit (outside of the kicking game), and it is likely time for the Broncos to consider parting ways with McMahon, especially considering that there is apparent discord between himself and McManus.

Much to the disappointment of Broncos Country, it will likely be after the season if the Broncos do indeed pull the trigger and part ways with McMahon, simply because it would be difficult to find an interim special teams coordinator in the middle of the season.
